Default I need some advice on ZF (Antu'sul)

Okay, so last night I thought I'd give ZF a try. The only other instance I ever really tried was Uldaman at 40/41 and I cleared that fine.

So nervously I entered, with my party of 5x Shamans (half 43/44)... turns out the trash is easy as hell. A few of chars died at the start, but I soon understood what to do and then I was able to grind through so quick-- just dropped healing/mana steam totems, stoneskin totem, 5x grounding totem, and blast away.

So I was a bit cocky when I came to the first boss - Antu'sul. Well, first I pulled too soon because I forgot he comes out of his cave to meet you. I wasn't at half mana and no totems down, and I got destroyed easily. So I reincarnated one, resed, and (lol) pulled before I was ready again, but that time I had full mana. Still he destroyed me.

Long story short I tried 5 times and wiped every time. A few times I got him down to like 10% then he would heal himself back to like 50%+, and by that point theres several elite basilisks on me and my HPs are droppin too quick so I die. The last time I tried killing the basilisks as he spawns them, somehow I still died with him above 50% hp.

    Give me your protips!

I just ran this instance quite a few times this weekend on my group at level 44-46. Having a tank here helps a bunch, so you may want to respec one shaman for enhancement/defense to try to mitigate some damage. Unfortunately, without the ability to hold aggro, you're probably just better off spec'ing resto instead. I did notice that if my paladin slipped holding aggro, my shammies would go down quick. The Sergeant Bly fight and the cobras at the end boss will also be tough without a tank. The temple steps battle was actually very easy. Just sit in one spot and keep magma/stoneskin/healing+mana stream totems up. Occasional chain lightning to take out stragglers will do the job.
As long as you keep magma totems up and they're spec'd for damage, the basilisks shouldn't last too long - I ignored them to focus killing Antu'sul. DPS as quick as you can, and earthshock him to interrupt heals. The hardest part is if he throws a root totem and runs around - I had some 'not facing enemy' targeting issues when he did that.
Without a tank, to make this instance smoother, you may have to level/gear up until you hit the next tier of dps.. lvl 48 I believe for lightning bolt/chain lightning.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

Most of my experience on him has been with 5 seperate classes. But I do know how to kill him. So just adapt the seperate classes and same classes strategy. First, rest up and kill adds outside him. DON"T go near him, he has like 100 yard aggro range. So just use your main to pull adds back to your alts so the alts don't accidently attract him. Stay up on mountains and you should be fine.

Next he spawns normals at the start. Just put down a stoneclaw (or 3) and kill the adds. He will be busy killing the claws long enough for you to kill them. Then put down fire (searing) totems. THey are cheap and work as a .2 sec stoneclaw if you need it. I think of it as free DPS. Grounding might not help much, since he pretty much uses totems (grasping and such). You want kill the totems when you can.

During the fight he spawns elite adds. I would take them out of the way. They do take time to kill, but hopefully you have enough healing and health to buy you time. Once they are gone, just go back to him. Near the end, about <12%, he might spawn another set of elites. It is up to you, but I might just tank them with stoneclaws and kill him. I haven't noticed his heals, but you should be able to earthshock him (hopefully). If he gets his heal off, take out the elites and repeat.

In other words. Use shocks until he is about <18%, then save them for earthshocks on his heals. Kill adds first. Kill earthgrab totems. Try to buff up with food (stam and spirit). And cross your fingers. I would do him last. Very last. The other boss kills will make you feel better, so even if you wipe on him, you at least can feel good you got something done.

About your wiping, you can pull him to you, so you can self-res and not aggro him again.

He heals? I didn't know that. I usually just DPS him up to the point where he spawns the elite basilisks, then drop 5x stoneclaw + 5x fire nova, then hit him with CL, heal if needed, then go back to DPS on him. I started that at 45. If you're underlevel, him and the 4 cobras are the two hardest fights in the place.

Can't say how to do it with 5 shaman, but with a pally it's AOE, hit my shield buff with BoS on, count to 10, and then open up on him with everything. Last night I basically skipped clearing the area around him, ended up pulling a few other things with the fight, and everything was fine. I had problems with the bosses until I hit 45. Pally is at about 3k life right now with 53% physical damage reduction.

How's the witch-doctor boss? Can you burn him down without the spawns giving you problems?

The only good thing is that the 4 cobras at the end are 100% optional. I still can't beat them without someone getting killed.

This fight was simple tank and spank, here's how you do it with 5 shaman:
Drop down your totems (In this case, healing stream x4 mana stream x1, grounding totems)
Park your shamans infront of his cave, pull the boss with your main shaman.
He will spawn adds, pretty much just focus on him instead using chain lightning when it's up, chain heal and lightning bolt and flame shock/earthshock, after he spawns a bit too many adds you should stop using chain lightning on him and put down stoneclaw totems and magma totems and just finish him off and then kill the adds after.
I'm not sure what his heal is as I've never encountered it, he seems to die in about 2 sets of lightning bolts and 1 chain lightning (maybe with a shock can't remember) he has super low hp

THis is what I did as well, but left one of the totems as a stoneskin.

Also you have way too much cloth armor IMO, and not nearly enough +stam gear - trade up to mail for the extra damage reduction, and get some +stam gear for staying power.

There's a heap of good shaman gear in RFD, it might be worth going back and farming it for a bit...check this link:
