Thread: attack macro

  1. #1

    Default attack macro

Sounds pretty basic, but I have no idea how to do it.

I use Clonekey since I am on a mac and sometimes a keystroke does not get broadcasted to a character which is needless to say, annoying. I dont know if it has to do with me using a wireless keyboard, but anyhow. If i press the normal attack button and 2 of the 3 characters start attacking, sometimes I have to go to that one characters screen and manually click his attack button. Is there a macro that I can just press over and over and it will not stop the normal attack, but make sure that if they are not attacking, they will begin.

    /attack is a toggle.

Use /startattack and /stopattack instead. Alternatively, you can use "!" as a non-toggle prefix (for toggled abilities, i.e. !Shoot, !Auto Shot ).

I have seen that issue with clone keys as well. I think it comes from pressing too many keys too fast. Sometimes I 'll type in gchat and once toon will drop a letter if I type too fast. Sometime it will leave the chatbox open which is annoying and I do have to manually reset that. I've only had it happen during a fight once or twice but, since my guys are casters it is easier to deal with because I don't auto attack and only wand occasionally.

Using separate /stopattack and /startattack macros could work, just stop then start everyone to sync them back up if one guy drops off. It shouldn't
slow you down your DPS too much if it only happens once and a while.
