Default Is There Any Reason to Triple Box in Shadowlands?

There was quite a lot to do for rtriple boxing in BFA, but I haven't seen much reason to do it in Shadowlands. Especially since Torghast doesn't seem all that boxer friendly.

Would it be better to just dual box or am I missing any good three person content?

I see no reason not to triple box in Shadowlands. There's arena that's still capped at 3s and Torghast should be multibox-able to some extent. If Multidayz/Ellay can do a 5 mask multibox, I see no reason to believe we can't do Torghast. Also, nicely enough there's no real gating in Torghast like there was with essences in visions, so totally shitting the bed as a multibox doesn't screw your chances at loot/upgrades.

    5 is the magic number!!!
torghast should be fine boxing. There’s no timer so you can go at your own pace making it even more boxer friendly.

Thanks for the reply. Why would you say 5 is the magic number? Is that only for dungeons?

You are able to just do the most amount of content as a full group with it. You can do any type of world quest and get credit as a group of 5. Do any dungeon including Torghast.
in current content it included horrific visions.
the only limitations was islands and 3v3 arenas. Otherwise a team of 5 covers all the bases.

I agree. I only play 2-3, I gave up 5 boxing along time ago. For me 2-3 is my sweet spot, it allows me to do everything I want to do in game.

That is also a fair comparison. I started with 2 then 3, and was also very happy boxing at this stage as well. It also allows you to group up with others too for some content. Reflecting I wasn't trying to push anyone into more. You can still accomplish a lot with 3 and there's a ton of stuff to do.

I love 3 also, but then I really miss being able to run my own leveling dungeons.

People like it when you have 3 and help them out in world.

I'm thinking of have 2 more just for helping the 3 man teams get leveled in dungeons. The 4 dungeons in TBC are super easy to repeat with Chromie time, and I am hoping party sync will work with it.

I'd be cautious about using others as an example of what you could do.

Multiboxing has a very specific requirement in the retail game. It's not Classic and so you need highly mobile specs with great utility that benefits multiboxing. That essentially limits your combos to specific things. Not my idea of fun.

Dual boxing would be my advice to anyone playing Shadowlands, so you'll get your MB itch in the world content and be able to drop one for the harder stuff when the time comes without feeling bad about your investment. Also 2 in PvP is a lot easier to manage than 3.

    Hey MadMilitia,

I don't necessarily believe that. I would also be carful about the wording because you very well may turn off new people to multiboxing with blanket statements like that.

Yes it's not classic/vanilla, but there is a whole lot you can accomplish multiboxing 2/3/4/5 accounts.
I think it really depends what you want to accomplish.

Do you want to push the hardest mythic+ content - yes you will probably need a very highly specialized group and have your settings, muscle memory, instance knowledge etc... all squared away.

Do you want to run arenas, world questing, dailies, auction house, farming, transmog hunting, mount hunting, world pvp etc... These all can be done with different amounts of clients and different types of groups.

You can create the most mixed matched group and with relative ease clear all 5 man instances, maybe even mythic 0-2 or more. I think one of the only requirements needed for multiboxing aside from all the hardware/financial stuff is just having an open mind. Being able to approach problems and try to figure out how to solve them. I think for a lot of us that's where the "fun" happens.

I'll also just add that every time I hear someone saying something is not going to be possible or too hard to do multiboxing wise in an expansion I pretty much just laugh now, because every single time someone figures it out and shows us all the way to do it.
