    Default Blizzard Authenticator

Has anyone else seen a massive increase in the frequency of being asked to authenticate when logging in??!!?

I rejoined Classic last year and started 5-boxing again in February.

Until last week, I can't remember being asked for my authenticator except the first time I logged in.

I'm now getting checked on 1+ accounts every time I log in.

I'm staring at 5 requests for codes and, to be honest, am seriously considering de-activating the authenticator as it is now more of a pain in the arse to me!

    Anyone else?

Default Any recommendations for easy Authentication of multiple Blizzard Battle.net accounts?

Sorry you are having such issues. What are you using to get your codes?

I haven't been using an Authenticator on my b.net accounts but am thinking of adding them for the extra 20 bag slots (plus the added security).

I have WinAuth which I added for another game that I was running 20+ clients for and really helped with that game to get the codes (no emails/texts or what not). It runs on windows and supports direct copy/paste into the game clients on the PC. It says it supports battle.net was thinking of using WinAuth for my Warcraft Battle.net accounts but I wasn't sure if there were better options/recommendations.

Anyone know of anything better than WinAuth for easy Authentication of multiple Blizzard Battle.net accounts?

I’m on retail and haven’t been asked in a really long time. I think I’ve seen it once in the past 6 months and that was during an update.

I'm using the Blizzard (Android) App - didn't realise there was any othe way, these days.
Each code is good for 30s but is single use, so it's 2.5m to login if all 5 trip

I see that WinAuth supports Blizzard, which would make it a lot easier - cut'n'paste the codes in.

    I'll try and swap over.

Go into account management - under "Always require authenticator for login" - disable it if you wish.. I did and I only get asked if I have wiped my pc.

I've not been asked for months but now dozens of times in the last week, hence my query.
Just wondered if they had changed something and we were all being asked a lot.

    Many thanks for that pointer!
I've installed it and ported my Blizzard authenticator over (the mobile app still works, which is a bonus) and I can now cut'n'paste my codes in as required.

Naturally, it hasn't tripped since I switched but I can't see an issue with cut'n'pasting my codes in, which is much better than typing them in manually off the phone screen!

maybe your isboxer settings changed, you have to add something to virtualized files to not keep getting asked
(on phone atm but instructions should be on isboxer wiki)
2,3,5 boxing wow with Wow Open Box and MAMA, give them a try!
(was 8 Boxing Wow with HotKeyNet and ISBoxer)
    Was streaming on twitch.tv/MooreaTv

Glad to hear WinAuth helped you and I hope it helps others. It has been awhile since I had to find a solution for my 20+ accounts in another game (Archeage) so I don't know if anything else better has come out since then.

For Classic WoW I plan to keep at least 6 accounts active as I 5box and have a 6th account with my 60 mage on it for free 55water/food/ports & instance resets for my team.

When the patch comes for 4 extra bag slots for each Classic WoW account setup with an Authentication I plan to do all of them in WinAuth unless someone indicates there is something better. In my case each of my WoW accounts is on it's own email and bnet so I will need to setup multiple authenticators.

Another tip I can think of to share is to setup emails for each account numbered 1-X and then have them setup and ordered in WinAuth the same way with just the number to ID them win WinAuth to minimize space. Since I play multiple games I just put a letter in front of each number to group all the ones from the same game. It makes thing so much easier when the only thing different is the account number.

Email-wise it can be as simple as:

    w01@mydomain.com
    w02@mydomain.com
    w03@mydomain.com
    w04@mydomain.com
    w05@mydomain.com
    w06@mydomain.com

    a01@mydomain.com
    ...
    a20@mydomain.com

In WinAuth I leave of the domain and just did:
    a01
    ...
    a20

For WoW I plan to do:
    w01
    ...
    w06
    etc...

Thanks for the discussion. I was using the old key-fob authenticator for years but I disabled it when I started multiboxing again. Good to see some options.
