So, the issue that I am having is I want to multibox 16 accounts, but I cannot decide between going with an I9-9900k setup or a Threadripper 1950X setup (both processors appear to have like a $60-$80 price difference with Intel being cheaper surprisingly). Every test I lookup on youtube comparing these two or even just checking into either processors the testing is always done on a single game client. So I didn’t want to just take all the information in since while multiboxing there will be several game clients. I know the I9-9900k will win hands down if you are running a single game client. But in this case I’m referring to multiboxing 16 game clients.
I planned on running with 64gb of ram, but here is the draw back I’m going to continue using my gtx 1060 6gb graphic card. Which of these setups should I go with the intel I9-9900k or amd 1950x? I know ill have to get a new motherboard and all that stuff, just trying to figure out which to go with. I play in 1080p normally but while multiboxing I usually drop the settings down as I primarily farm when I multibox, so im standing in the same general area pretty much (unless farming something like herbs). I have read on the forums here that ideally you want to have 1 core for every 1 game client. But with the 1950x having a base ghz of 3.4, 16 core, 32 threads and the I9-9900k having 5.0ghz, 16 thread, but only 8 core I wasn’t sure if the extra ghz from the intel processor would result in better performance or not.
Note:
I don't know if I should note this or not I have been playing on a 4 core I7-6700k but just kind of tired of playing Minecraft WoW (lol, or world of minecraft blocky graphics), that and 25-33fps on main and 15-20fps on slaves is what I currently get with lowest settings and thats with the gtx 1060 6gb card and only 16gb of ram. So im lookin to move up lol. Keep in mind that I will use this same rig to do my one day a week raiding with guild, but throughout the week mostly multiboxing or running marketing programs like "jarvee" (instead of a VPS)

Another thing I couldn't decide between were the motherboards... Hypathetically if I were to go with the 1950x I didn't want to pay that massive price for the Zenith Extreme so instead opted for the following:

I have not looked into the motherboards for the I9-9900k yet. Looking for any kind of constructive criticism and/or useful advice as I have not made any purchases yet, just gathering all my information right now.
One thing I thought was intersting was sometbody in the youtube video below did a benchmark test using the I7-6700k processor I have now compared with the Threadripper 1950X that I was thinking of buying and everything looked great, until.... The FPS was noticeably (not 1 or 2) lower than the intel. So in a single game window maybe ill have less FPS, but I dont know if itd beat the processor I have for multiboxing, the fps. I mean I wanna upgrade but im not sure if the 1950X would be a better upgrade then the I9-9900k.
