Down with Multilog!

Back in the day of the first computers, they had vacum tubes,relays and other parts the size of my...well let's just say they were really big. The computer "bug" buzz word came because of this Reading Material. Now you know why everyone says "computer bug", or I "found a bug in my program", etc.

Now we move on to the current topic:
The word that describes the act of playing multiple accounts at the same time is... Multibox. This term came to power because back when you actually had to have a second computer (box) in order to play a second account. Hence, multiple boxes = Multibox.

I don't know where this term "multilog" came from. I've been Multiboxing since 2001, and I never heard of "multilog" until these uneducated folks from WoW (Meaning not knowing much about multiboxing) came along.

So I say... Down with Multilog! This word must be abolished! It is Multibox!

Multilog is where you play or log(in) > 1 character on a single computer, Multibox is where you play >1 character on >1 computer.

I'd hardly say its them being uneducated, its quite a standard term, and in other games is more common than Multiboxing, due to some other games having far less system requirements (MUD's etc).

actually... there are two words.. multi-boxing and multi-instancing.

multi-boxing is more then one machine.
multi-instancing is more then 1 account logged in on one machine.

and since many multi-boxers also will run multi-instances on the same machine, giving a multi-box and multi-instance setup... multi-boxing works for bot.

just use the term multi-box

*shrug* has always been 'Boxing or Multiboxing for me.

Some call it hydra? Which is dumb. It's multiboxing.
