    Default PC Requirements for WoW Multiboxing

    I want to start multi-boxing when the new expansion comes out. But for that I will need a better PC. Since I don't know anything about multi-boxing, i need your help with building a PC for multi-boxing that can run 5-10 WoW's. Keep in mind of my budget of below 950$

    5-10 is a bit of wide spectrum. 10 requires substantially more resources.

    Additionally what you need depends a lot on what you wish to do while multiboxing and what kind of settings and FPS (on both background and foreground windows) you're willing to accept.

    We could maybe throw together a build for that, but with so little knowledge it'll be hard to say whether or not it'll work for you. Especially since it's entirely plausible we'll see a not-yet-announced minimum hardware requirement increase for BFA.

    For what parts: Motherboard/CPU/RAM/PSU/Display? What hardware do you currently use?

    Also, with the dollar sign after the number... Is this Canadian, USD, or some other country?
    Do not send me a PM if what you want to talk about isn't absolutely private.

    I am thinking of getting this
    https://gyazo.com/cbc1c60739b947c6f515e1a9fc79cd64
    And this is worth 1400 US Dollars in my local store. Realistically how much WoWs could i run for gold-farming on lowest setting. And i said around 950$ US Dollars because I know in my country the parts will always come 40% more expensive than original price.

    I would start doing comparative benchmarks between Intel i7 and AMD Ryzen for gaming, first. Then I'd look at the prices on available late-model graphics cards (if you can find any). While you're doing all that, keep saving. I have a hard time believing that you're going to get a decent 3- to 5-boxing rig for less than $1500-1700US if you're paying a 40% premium already. The basic system I'd build for multiboxing that I priced for a friend last week was about $1300-1600 on the American market. Granted, it's not an ALC (absolute lowest cost) system but it's got enough overhead and quality that you won't get screwed if the next expansion increases the requirements again.

    Based on my recent poking around on Amazon for my preferred components:

    CPU = $300-400 for 5-boxing
    GPU = OMG don't ask; I'd estimate $650-800 if you can find a GTX1070 8GB card or AMD equivalent at currently insane market prices; $450 if you can find one squirreled away somewhere
    RAM = $200-450 (16GB of 2133MHz up through 32GB of 3000MHz)
    HDD = $100 for a couple of standard HDDs or one Samsung 250GB SSD
    PSU = $120-160 (650W-850W)
    Motherboard = $125-300 depending on features
    Case = $50-100 depending on features

    So, if you went absolute minimum recommended quality levels (no Chinesium bargain-bin junk) and didn't buy a monitor, you might be able to get by on about $1500 BEFORE your country's market premiums if you want any longevity and stability out of it.

    My 2 copper, anyway.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

    And how much would you be able to run in BfA on my the rig that i sent. Because there are literally no GPU's on the market here. Best i could find were GTX 1050Ti and RX 580, and the best CPU is the Ryzen 7 1700. So i am certain I will buy the one i sent previously, now i just want an estamation of how many WoW's could it run.

    From experience: to 10 box: you need atleast a quality 6 core with 12 threads you can overclock to around 4.5 ghz or more and a decent motherboard that can supply more voltage than cheaper boards. You also need minimum 32 (each game can use up to 3 gb ram if you are using many addons) gb ram. Any newer grafixcard with 6 gb or more videoram. A good ssd. With this, assuming 1080 p on all windows and all slaves on low settings and renderscale at 50%...while you have semi good settings on your main and 100% renderscale.. you should be able to get a somewhat stable 60 fps on main and 30 fps on slaves. It will dip a bit in dalaran etc but elsewhere its mostly smooth gameplay.

    Ideally though you should buy this pc for account 2 to 10 and get a seperate pc which only will be playing your main account. So you can play in 1080 p on settings 7 on your main So you can get pretty much buttersmooth visuals.

    WOWBOX40, Thank you for the input. I upgraded my budget to 1500$ and I found a pre-built that I think suit what you wrote.
    Here are the specs
    Motherboard: ASRock AB350M AM4
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1800x
    GPU: nVidia GTX 1060
    SSD: 480 GB, SATA 3
    RAM: 16GB DDR4
    Power Supply: 500W, 12cm Fan
    Note: I will run only 1 Computer and 5 WoW's at once I don't really care about the buttersmooth visuals while I multibox, I know i'll have that when i run a single
