Default Level Recommended for BRD, DM, BRS, STRAT, SCHOLO

I started BRD at level 54 and for the most part it seemed to go well (apart from all the wipes from the adds..) Got the key, lowered the bridge, and at level 56 having a hard time getting through the groups of fire elementals. They just hit too hard and my healing can't keep up.

For the most part, I've been using WowWiki (Instances by Level) as a guide. From reading some other post, it seems the level 60 instances might require better gear and/or higher then mob levels.

I'm currently leveling up questing and gathering more of the instances quests and planning to go back to BRD at level 58.

So, I'm wondering, what level you were when you completed these instances.

    Stratholme: Live - 70
    Stratholme: Dead - 70

As you can see, 70 is the way to go. All the old world instances are not viable for xp anymore. Questing is the way to go.

so i guess my 46 in 1 day 12 hours played is not the way to go?

60 takes 5 days played questing and 3 days played instance running... 2 days less

I would suggest BRD around level 55, seeing you have a prot pally you could potentially kill that place, there are a fuckload of quests todo there and it is by no means a waste of time, as for the others you might want to try them around 59-61 if you dont want to goto outlands straight away, DM-E is considered the easiest of most 60 instances, probably followeb by lbrs. But the others might be a gear check for you.

mmmm, here's a thought, why would you roll a multiboxing group if you weren't going to pvp the heck out of people along the way. Leveling in instances is one way sure, but I spent more time ganking people and fighting off higher levels questing outside and if you stay in instances you will completely unprepared for pvp later on. I went from 40-70 with no instances and don't regret it at all.

To clarify, I haven't been through most of these instances so I'm definitely going to go through them all before hitting the Outland's instances ... just wanted to know which level you guys would recommend.

Another thought was to finish questing in WPL, EPL and possibly Silithis, go to Outlands, finish all the regular quests there for all the great gear then come back and do all the level 60 instances. Any thoughts?

My goal is to complete those instances where it still had some challenges (with mobs being green or better) instead of just rolling through them like a hot knife on butter. :P

    Blackrock Depths - 53(hard), 57(challenging), 60+(easy)
    Lower Blackrock Spire - 55(hard), 58(challenging), 60+(easy)
    Dire Maul - 58(hard), 60(challenging), 63+(easy)
    Scholomance - 57(hard), 60(challenging), 63+(easy)
    Stratholme: Live - 56(hard), 59(challenging), 61+(easy)
    Stratholme: Dead - 55(hard), 58(challenging), 61+(easy)

    IMO...

[edit] This is with a priest+4 warlock group. I'd assume similar results with other non-optimal (i.e.: non-holy-trinity) groups, like hunters+pally, shammies, etc.

I rolled an instance group specifically to do all the PvE instances at roughly the right level; I'm not interested in world PvP at all. I did BRD at 56, and it was a very fun and easy clear. The fire elem 3-pulls before the MC attunement do hit hard; I'm not sure what group setup you have, but I found it fastest to just burst them down while using pally ranged taunt liberally. The rest of the zones I would do at 58-60. At 60 they will still be a fun challenge, but any higher and it will become too easy.

Winterspring and Felwood are also good places to quest along with WPL and EPL ( skipped Silithus).
That and BRD (lots of quests there) is what I did from 51-58.

Entered portal as soon as I hit 58, did some quests to gear my group and I was 60 before I could notice (58-60 is REALLY fast doing outlands quests: both quests and mob gives insane xp compared to required xp by those levels).

Cleared ramps at 60 (4 grounding totems makes Vazruden pretty simple, not sure about about a regular setup ), BF at 61 and working on SP as of now (lvl 62).

If you really want to go back to old world instances, I would recommend doing so after you get some outlands gear. But keep in mind that TBC instances are more challenging, give more xp and cash.

The played time is a bit misleading IMO. Sure you can powerlevel to 46 in 1 day 12 hours played time...but what does that translate into real time? If you're running 5 toons, its at least double, maybe more - since you will need to do at least 2 groups. Then there are trips back to the AH / vendors to sell stuff (assuming you're looting at all). Also this played time means no gathering or skilling up professions, and your faction reps will kind of suck (which may or may not be important to you). But the real killer for me is that it is mind numbingly repetitive. I don't mind running instances to gear my guys up, but even that's a chore after the 5th or 6th run...

    Cheers,
