Default leveling 2 chars 70-80 --dual box or solo?

I have a level 70 druid & 70 priest on two separate accounts. I originally quit WOW sometime after BC.

Do you guys think it would be easier and/or faster to dual box and level these characters together (70-80)? Or would soloing be my best option?

I figure I could use both to dps and priest to heal.

I'm jumping right back in and will be playing a lot. I want both toons to reach 80 by the time Cata comes out
Any thoughts or opinions? I'd appreciate it

    thanks

How many accounts do you already have that you plan to run? Just the 2? Do you already have software and the setup to do it? If you have the software (or hardware) to do it then doing two at once is much faster than one at a time. If you are brand new and have no clue what I mean, and don't plan to multibox after they are leveled you are probably better off doing them one at a time.

I multi-boxed in late 2007 via keyclone. My computer could handle 4 instances of WOW at the time. I think I leveled them up to 40ish before I quit WOW. I'm not entirely new...but it sure feels like it. I was originally going to use all 4 accounts again (+1) but decided not to.

I hate leveling. PvP & end game content is the only reason I'm coming back to WOW. I'd like to kill 2 birds with one stone & get them leveled @ the same time (same w/ cata). I just remember multiboxing being a pain in the ass at times and I wasn't sure if it was difficult to control more than one char. w/ flying mounts.

I don't have the software or setup yet. I figured it out last time--I'm sure I can do it again. I'm looking into the benefits of going with ISBoxer.

I did just buy a Logitech G13 gamepad & the Razer Naga mouse...I'm sure that would help with macro's

If you already have KC then you are half way there. Maybe spend a little time looking at the My Cata Macros and cata macros stickies under the Macros and Addons section and you should be all set. I'd say do both at once. Dual Speccing them both is a great idea. You could do a healer and a dps in some instances on the way up.

I'd say leveling them together will be faster then leveling one first and the other second.
But leveling a single toon only, without the other, will be the fastest.

Kill quests, or collections where everyone gets the item per kill, will be faster with both toons in the party.
Both because you have additional firepower to kill things quicker, and because in BC and later expansions -- more toons in an area increase the respawn rate of creatures killed.
Also, you gain a very slight amount of additional experience, as the group bonus.

Collections or ground spawn quests, will take about twice as long for two toons as one.
So you're not any faster or slower running two concurrently, then you would doing one now and another later.
However, collections can feel very painful when you collect for multiple toons at one time.

There are a lot of collecting quests come cataclysm.

On the other hand kill quests or any killing in general will be much faster and less annoying. Keep in mind, that mobs hit much harder and have got much more life in cata content than in wotlk content.

I think two chars will be optimal, killing wont be as annoying and take as long, but the item collecting quests will take longer.

I will also go to level a team of 5 again, but i will start with two chars.

If you're going to level two characters regardless.

Collect X quests will be done twice.
Whether it is Collect X now and Collect X in 3 months.
Or Collect X and X now, it is the same thing.

Kill Quests or Collections where everybody gets to loot.
They're faster for two toons together (do the quest once, not twice).

I'd definately level the 2 together, go boomie and spriest. Shadowpriests are retardly easy to macro and make an excellent slave, the boomie needs a little more management given the solar/lunar mechanic so i would lead with it.

I leveled my hnter/priest team from 71 to 74 on the weekend, doing Call to Arms and dungeon runs.

    I'd box.

Collection quests would be very easy: clear area and collect with priest, then collect with druid (flight form) while priest is waiting safely mounted in the air (if not in Dragonblight or Coldara

Playing those two together would require two buttons
    PULL:
    Cat: [@target] FFF
    Disc Priest: [@Druid] PW:S
    DPS:
Cat: castsequence [@target] Mangle, Rake, Rip
    Disc Priest: [@Druidtarget] Smite
Pull next mob even if current mob is not dead, it will be soon

For elite mobs: just go bear.

I've just leveled a Druid (Feral) to 79, I'm kicking myself now for not having teamed him up with one of my priests, but leveling him was so much fun and was so easy and fast that that thought never occurred to me.
