Default One PC - Two keyboards and mice

I have two monitors, a decent PC and a spare keyboard, mouse. I was wondering whether there is a way to play WoW with my friend on one PC ?

    Best regards,
    Valery.

Assuming you're running Windows, no, no way to do that. Two keyboards will work at the same time but the keypresses get routed to the active application. Someone would have to write a driver to do what you're talking about.

Even through API based programming ?

No. You can hook general keyboard/mouse events but I'm pretty sure you cannot tell which device is sending them. Thus my driver comment.

Lax has mentioned, Joe Multiboxer will be able to use one keyboard as a keyboard and additional devices (including another keyboard) as hot keys for mapped keys.

Not sure if you could use that functionality for this.

    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

I always thought that somebody has already created software to do so. Example, you chose which HID device sends commands to which process. Though my knowledge of OSes is very narrow, I may misjudge.

That app looks like a way to emulate a keybord as a custom macro device. Like those nostromo macro board things.

The only way I can think of to get this to work would be to use virtual machines. But even then it would take more than one computer so you can have more than one person log into that box, But that will require more than one system and not be what you are looking for. Also last I looked virtual machines did not support directx.

It would be a neat thing to have if you could find one.

This isnt something i have tested with wow, but i used to use it on HOG (hidden object games) with 3 mouses when my mum, my gf and myself where playing them on a big 48' TV.

http://www.wunderworks.com/teamplayer/ - allows multiple mouses and cursors. - no idea about multi keyboards on same pc tho.

no idea if it will help or just complicate matters.

(i just woke up was browsing and have to leave for work).

lax's new boxing software was supposed to be able to integrate multiple keyboards.
Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it"
