Default Target the target only macro?

Well I have 5 Shammys but I seem to have this problem recently. After running RFC I changed one of my following macro's to have /follow lead /assist lead and /startattack and ever since that it has worked out but i want it so that when i'm not targeting something when I press 1 after they stop following me I want them not to auto target the nearest enemy/mob so basically is there a way to make them follow but only attack the leaders target? Or do I have to make a seperate /follow macro for non combat?

    bahuh?
My best guess is you want something that only autoattacks if they have a target and it is hostile?

    /follow lead
    /assist lead
    /startattack [target, exists, harm]

    maybe?

Sorry my explanation is pretty confusing lol.
Okay the problem is I want it to only attack when my main has a target, not find a target to attack if I'm not targeting anything. But I also want them to follow me. Example of this problem is right when I kill a mob and an alliance came in front of my guys in a horde area. I pressed the macro to have all my chars re-follow but it made the followers auto target/auto attack the ally and he ganked them all. Not very fun. Anyways I could do two macros but if there is anything possible like that I would like to know.

I'd split the attacks and the follow, into two different macros.

If you press an attack key, and nothing is targeted, the warcraft default action is to target the closest hostile.
That assumes there is a hostile, within a relatively small area.
Not sure on a workabout to prevent this, as its a game default.

Possibly go with a Target=TargetTarget system.
Where the slaves target the master always.
And then cast at the Master's Target, via Target=TargetTarget macros.

Still, if you press the attack macro... and a hostile is there, then the slaves will probably attack it the same as normal.
But with separate follow and attack macros, follow should not cause a flagging attack.

I'd also use a separate follow button. Build /assist into your attack macros and leave it out of non-attack macros. Especially with Shaman, you can multitask your follow button with other things. I use :

    /click [nomounted] SmartBuff_KeyButton
    /cast [nomounted, nocombat] Totemic Recall
    /focus Kina
    /follow focus

If I'm not mounted, it will set my main as my focus target, follow my focus target, recall my totems and refresh any expired/expiring buffs.

If I'm mounted, it will it will only set and follow my focus {so as not to fall 4000 feet to my death via buffing related dismounting}.
