Thread: LOTRO MACROS!

  1. #1

    Default LOTRO MACROS!

at this point, I sound like I am one of about 5 people that actually dualbox LOTRO.

and I was hoping that this poplation grows, (if you could PM me with your info, server, how many)

has anyone found any good macros/hardware/software that is usable in LOTRO?

pretty much at this point, I have simply been using MultiServer and client to transfer the keyboard and mouse inputs. setup keymappings on the two computers differently (EG main skills on minstrel are SHIFT+1to =. and on my Captain I have just 1 to = mapped) I also found that the only real in game macro I could get to work, or be useful is /follow (which only follows the toons current target)

    Any suggestions/comments/second opinions are welcome.

I played on the Landroval server, 50 burglar, 50 champion, and was in the process of leveling a guardian and mistrel together. Auto-Follow breaks on every little thing, target forwarding is somewhat useful, but did not really work well for conjunctions/healing. About the best solution I came up with was programming my X-Keys with keystrokes for hotkeyable commands. For instance, binding the conjunction assist to the tilde key and then having that programmed on my X-Keys followed by hotkeying the red/blue/yellow/green commands to keys. I healed via programming X-Keys as such: (F1)(9) on the same key with 9 being my fast heal. This would target me then cast my fast heal with one keypress on the X-Keys. I did the same for the other party members and also duplicated this using 0 for my big heal.

I never found a good way to macro anything other than some very basic emotes and ;loc command. Assist was what I was really hoping to get working. Right before I found dual-boxing.com, I was looking for some help to get a guardian/minstrel two box going. That is how I found dual-boxing.com (through a google search). LotRO just doesn't seem to have an interface or macro system that is usuable, much less multi-box friendly.

    Default Would love to help

Landroval!!!!!! Do you still play, that is the server that I am on .

I beta tested, am a founder, and a life time sub... so I will be playing for a while.

Hope that you want to come back heheheheeeh, we should change my small kinship into a duel boxing guild heheheehe that would be fantastic.
Still attempting to confirm that it is NOT against the TOS to multi just in case.

Best macros I have found was a combo of changing the second computers keyboard layout to match around the primary character, and then using autokeys to help out, just waiting for the n52te to come out, hoping that will help ALOT.

Let me know if you still play (Buffz cpt 50 Healz Min 36^)
