Transferring Addon Settings Between Accounts

Hi all,

As an example, I want Pitbull Unit Frames to retain its settings for all characters, regardless of what account they are on. Resetting it for all chars is going to cause some out-of-sync UI issues for me.

only thing you can do is copy and paste the SavedVariables folder of realm and players to ever installed version and then use the addon panel in game and inport.

in xperl I can select the character profile of the data i copied.

what you could do is go into your wow folder. find your WTF folder, and completely copy it. Then paste that folder in each of your clone folders, renaming where appropriate (ie. account name, and character names) you need to make sure to backup your origional WTF folders on your clones before doing this just incase you screw up.

By doing this of course is going to get rid of all your special macros and keybindings you had on the specific character. So i might not be the path you wanna take. If thats the case you need to do some copying and pasting of much smaller tidbits here and there.

Like your Saved variables, on both the "account name" and "character name" level, and paste those into their correct folders.

Its not hard to do, but me explaining it isnt probably the best either, So hopefully this helps, otherwise sorry, if you still need help with this i can try to help walk you through later, i gotta head up to class now, so cya!
