Default Dual-boxing setup for a Belkin Nostromo + Steelseries WoW mouse?

Does anyone use either of these for dual-boxing? If so, have you found any tips/tricks that work well for dual-boxing?

I've used a Nostromo n52 for a long time now. I've essentially got 90% of my in combat nukes / main actions bound to it, Mounting, Movement via the D pad. out of combat stuff is bound to a second page.

I've actually been 5-boxing with BOTH of these devices for a couple of months now, the Nostromo n52 (which I've actually had for a couple years now) and the Steelseries WoW Mouse which I just bought as soon as I was able to find one. Here's my thoughts:

The mouse itself is not a very well made device, physically. The button layout takes alot of getting used to, as does hand positioning. Also, after about a month and a half, the buttons started squeeking when I pushed them.

Now, those issues aside, this combo is F(*&ING AMAZING!!!!! Having those programmable buttons on the mouse is glorious!!!! I have it set up now between the two, I never have to touch the keyboard! I cant say enough good things about using these two together.

If I could ever find a better mouse with as many programmable buttons as the Steelseries WoW mouse, I would consider it, but right now, this is the best you can get, and I will NEVER go back to a standard 5-button mouse again!

dont have the steelseries yet but was using the n52 but i heard something about the diagonal directional keys being against the ToS so went back to mainly using the g15. i could've unbound it but got so much used to the g15.
Calling me a noob would be an understatement...

I don't recall there being a diagonal button on the n52/n52te. It's all bound to WASD, and you're physically pressing a button bound to W and a button bound to A if you're wanting to turn in a circle.

I had mine bound to QWES. I can't stand keyboard turning. That's what the mouse is for.

I used my n52te for approximately 1 week and gave up on it. I may try leveling a new character with it, so I get used to it from the beginning. But looking like a choad in battlegrounds or raids because I'm not used to where the keys are is painful as hell.

edit: Update -- just installed the n52te drivers and application. Looks like there are a total of 8 directional buttons. Looks like I was wrong. You can still "disable" the diagonal buttons, though and be legit as far as WoW's ToU goes.

I opted for several X-Keys over the n52 but I did buy the SteelSeries MMO Mouse, two of them actually (one for me and one for the wife); we are up to our third RMA on them! So here's my impressions of the mouse,
    • Has the most buttons of any mouse to date, period.
    • Buttons are much more accessible then those of the Razer Lachesis, though still not ideal.
    • Buttons feel cheap; there is no positive feedback when pressed and they tend to rock a lot.
    • Metal finish tends to rub along edges of mouse surface, I've actually worn mine down to the plastic in some places; this really annoys me as it was this multilayer metal finish that delayed production and caused a global outage of the mouse.
    • The two main buttons may become sticky and feel like extra pressure is needed to trigger them.
    • Mouse is excessively large; people with smaller hands may find it difficult to use
    • The macro functionality of this mouse is extremely limited; I ended up using it to trigger key bindings, but even then it does not allow for a button (like ctrl or alt) to be held down as a modifier.
    • As someone else pointed out the primary mouse buttons start to squeak (how appropriate for a mouse) after a short period of use.
Since owning these we've had them die in several ways. The first one I brought started playing up within a month of use; on a daily basis it would lock up and had to be unplugged before it would work again, mouse button 5 also died. The second one was my wife's and it has died too; whilst its buttons work and the system recognizes mouse clicks it does not move the cursor. I tried both of them on multiple systems and had the same issues. The mouse I received from my first RMA is also exhibiting button fatigue, with the right button becoming intermittent; overall the build quality of these seems quite poor. I've just switched to the Razer Mamba and after the 1.07 firmware update it's been working well for me, my wife is talking about buying one for herself rather then doing the RMA of her dead mouse.

I also own the SteelSeries 7G keyboard and several Ikari mice and I've had no issues with these at all; it seems they have had issues with the MMO mouse only. I've owned the Razer Lachesis too but would not recommend it as the placement of the side buttons make them almost unusable. The Mamba has been an excellent mouse thus far and I've simply moved some keys around on my X-Keys and added a few to the UI; the loss of the extra buttons was not a big deal for me, the loss of a functioning mouse was.

Frankly I would recommend against the SteelSeries MMO mouse.
