I have been having a horrible time in Sunken Temple and Strat so I am going to watch this over and over. This maybe because I am a clothie and boosting with a lock. I have a lot of gimmicks I can use still just get my arse handed to me so I have to pull stupid slow, i.e. not worth it.

I boost with my DK in Zul'Farrak from 35 to 45 and then LBRS from 45 to 55. My best time for a set of RAF toons from 1 to 60 is 8 hours and 50 minutes /played. Please keep in mind though that that includes 1-10 by hand (usually 1.5 hours when you figure in macros) and I'd say an hour of travel from place to place. If I had a set of toons to RAF summon from zone to zone I bet I could do 1-60 in 5 hours if I was on the ball.

Interesting. It's around 4.7M XP for 60-70, if we take 15 mins per level from 55-60 which is around 800K then we get a rate of ~640K per hour or ~215K without RAF. This would indicate a boosting time of around 22 hours if you can maintain the XP/hour rate through the higher Outlands instances. I think this is faster than questing 60-70, assuming you can hold the XP rate per hour. I don't know how well the kill speed would hold up once you'd move up to the tougher instances...

Actually, re-thinking a sec, you'd only want to boost to 65 anyhow, and then go to Utgarde Keep. This would take around 1.8M XP or ~8-9 hours... I imagine you can make it to 65 in Ramps/Furnace but if the XP drops off then Slave Pens would also work and is easily doable at 80th.
After Ramps, I usually just set-up my team with all the macros and what not and then go into Underbog and Sethakk halls or whatnot and just do big pulls then use my followers as well to just AOE everything down. I haven't kept track of my teams in the past, but with my current BE pally team, they are at 67 now with only 11 hours played since dinging 60 which is just over 1.5 hr/lvl. If I keep it up at this rate I should ding 70 with around 16 hours spent in outlands.

I don't recommend Mana Tombs though tbh, got to becareful of the exploding fishy things, and mana burns later in the instance.

Default is this video still up somewhere?

    Hello,

I am a 5-boxer and would love to see your video of Strat. I tried LBRS and it is terribly slow for 45-55.

    Please help!

    thanks!

I re-uploaded it to filefront. I was going to render it again to put on youtube hd but I lost the original video files. Youtube downgraded the resolution and made it unwatchable so I just deleted it. The link is updated again on the OP.

Love strat for boosting... I don't know why people bother with crap like BRD, LBRS, etc. when strat is so simple.

Just finished boosting two toons in strat tonight, in just a few hours, mage went from 45-55, warrior with double heirlooms went from 45-58.

    Thanks for the vids
We definitely need more boosting videos 45+.... hard to find good stuff, any search for boosting gets you a bazillion SM cathedral, or RFC boosting videos from 2 years ago

Had the funniest boosting experience in ZF last night as I did a big pull, took it around a corner, then was consecrating it down... and down... and down... and down... finally looked away from the TV and started individually targetting mobs, all of whom were at about full. OMG NERF! Nope, my pull had about 40 mobs in it, of which 14 were witch doctors, all of whom had dropped Healing Ward totems . Also, with 14 WD, poly-frog was actually landing now and then, so I'd actually take damage, plus my blessing had been purged, so my mana was getting low! Durp durp durp. Did a /tar witch and took them all out individually, which took a while until I was Divine Plea'd up a bit in mana, then dragged the rest away and THEN aoe'd them down. This whole process of a single ZF pull for a 80 Paladin in T7ish gear took 10 minutes or so . Happy ending to an embarassing moment, you'd think, until I realized that my boost toons must have been slightly out of range the whole time and got zero xp for the whole thing .
