Muter addon - "muting" slaves

Back when a started dual-boxing on my single MacBook Pro after Blizzard implemented the RAF program, I kept running into an annoying issue: I would randomly send messages in tells, guild/party chat, etc. accidentally. It was quite embarrassing at times. Anyway, I put together an extremely simple addon that will effectively "mute" a character. Does anyone know if such an addon exists already? If not, and others are looking for similar functionality, I'll make what I've written available.

/muter enable
Disables all outgoing communication.

/muter disable
Allows all outgoing communication.

That's all it does! I haven't heavily tested it, but it's been working great for me. I don't have to worry about keybinds or temporarily disabling key broadcasts while chatting.

How did you impliment this?

For example would it disable the ability to send messages via an addon? (SendChatMessage()) I'm curious because if it doesn't kill that feature, it would be very useful to me as the most common "break" in my config is the chat command opening but not closing... so I end up pressing 222222222222 trying to cast a spell and then later when I figure it out there's a gajillion 2's in the chat box.

That is something that would need further testing. As my current setup has no need for programmatic message sending I have had no issues. For others, though, obviously it would need to be figured out. I will test some things when I get home. Is there any addon in particular you are concerned with?

what is your addon? does it contail only those two commands? will it allow the main to use chat and only block slave duplicate? I need t his as i don't use chat anylmore as i always get a duplicate message on slave. please help if you are willing

Yes, it's either on or off. You enable it on the slave and it blocks all outgoing communication. Currently, you're still able to activate the chat box and type into it on the slave, just nothing will send. I'll be looking to fix that at some point in the near future.
