Hello, today I discovered this wonderful community which has made it able for me to use Multiboxing for my powerleveling needs

Now I'm impatient but I took the time to search this forum and find the answers I needed for my questions and got everything set up in no time (Thanks to this community!)

What I've done is compile a guide which would suffice to turn a non-multi-boxer into an elite multi boxer (or atleast dual boxer) in no-time!

Input concerning the guide is always welcome.

I hope I've contributed.

Ever since Blizzard announced the new recruit-a-friend feauture I've thought about ways to use this system. The main thing is that you will recruit yourself and then use that account to level two characters all the way to 60 lightning fast.

Recruit-a-friend benefits includes feautures like (but not limited to):

* 3x XP no matter from killing mobs and doing quests as long as you're grouped with the recruited account (and within its proximity)

* The recruited account can grant levels to the master account if the recruited character is higher level than the master account. The amount of levels that can be granted is the master characters level split in half. For example a level 40 master account can grant 20 levels from a level 60 recruited account.

And now, I shall take my time to explain how this can be used.

First, we will study what you need to use the system.

Requirements:

*Financial
* You must afford a second world of warcraft account (subscription is OPTIONAL)

*Hardware
* A dual-core processor
* All the "reccomended" specs to play world of warcraft.
* And some added RAM memory to that.

*Software
* Keystroke broadcasting software such as Keyclone.
Note: Using such software is not against any rules specified by blizzard, I've even heard that blizzard employees use such software to "multi-box".

Recruiting yourself:

To recruit yourself you simply go to account management and recruit yourself by submitting one of your own email adresses to the recruit-a-friend system.

Then register an account using the code that you recieved in your inbox.

When you've registered the account you can upgrade it to a full WoW account.
(Otherwise you can only power-level to level 60)

Macros/Software guide:

"This is the part where you will learn about keyclone and using macros together with that:

step-by-step basic keyclone setup

first, welcome to multi-boxing... let's see if i can get you to the basics.

for this message, i will assume you have 2 mages, level 1, with nothing in slots 6 and 7 in your action bar. also, i assume you have fireball in slot 2 and frost shield in 3. also, please make sure you are running your clients in windowed mode (in-game, esc, video/windowed-mode) and in 800x600 mode (this is just to start.. play with resolution later). once set... exit, restart and log in both accounts.

you should also not have keyclone running at this time.
i also assume you have nothing else running. no broswer (except this window) and no windows explorer.

you should have 2 wows slightly overlapped with both mages standing next to eachother.

i will assume your main mage is going to be called 'joe' and your clone is 'sam'

click on sam's window.
you need to make 2 macros (esc/macro)
macro 1:
click new
select icon
type follow as the description
click ok
edit the macro body and type this:
/follow joe

click 'new' to create another macro
select a different icon
type assist as the description
click ok
edit the macro body and type this:
/assist joe

click-drag the icon for follow into slot 6 on your action bar
click-drag the icon for assist into slot 7 on your action bar

click ok to save your macro and return to game

test the follow by hitting 6.. sam should turn to follow joe.
on joe's screen... select a target
on sam's screen, test the assist macro by hitting 7... did sam get the same target as joe?

join sam into joes group.
set loot as free-for-all

assuming you're good to this point... it's time to connect up your clones.

run keyclone.
if you have the default settings in place, it should automatically add both wows to it's list. it would say 'world of war..' or something like that.

click on joe.
hit spacebar
both sam and joe should jump (there is something called animation latency you will see.. but both characters are actually jumping at the same time)

hit 3 and both mages should put on their shields

you now have keys passing between 2 clones.

on joe... click on a target
hit 7... look at sam's target.. should be the same
hit 2 and both should cast fireball on the target
repeat 2 as necessary until target dead

hit 6 to have sam follow joe
click-hold left+right mouse to drive to the body and loot

congrats.. you are multi-boxing

there is more beyond this point... but this is the ground floor. if you didn't get this working, drop me a PM and i'll see what i can do for you."

Now if you're leveling a warlock+priest for example and using the warlock as master and the priest as a healer you can do like me.

* You bind 4-5 buttons for all priest healing/buffing spells (on your priest character) and don't use those keys to control your warlock.
* Go into keyclone
* Click setup
* Mark "do-not-pass"
* click white list
* submit those 4-5 priest healing buttons.

Now you go and create a macro.
/target joe
/cast <specify healing spell and rank here>

and create a macro for each heal you want to use.
Then just assign the macro to one of your bound priest-keys.

This should result in that the warlock gets healed by your priest when you click those buttons.

Happy power-leveling, hope that you've had use of this guide!
