Keyclone is awesome, especially for beginner boxers. I feel like I ripped off it's creator. No, I'm not advertising for keyclone, but I'm just going to mention that keyclone is so good that it removed this stain out of my shirt, which cost me 99$, so it actually paid for itself 5 times over. Thanks Keyclone!

Seriously though, I tried AutoHotkey and it seemed like more work than it was worth the time to learn. Lots of people love Octopus, but I've never tried it. I hear a lot of good things about it, you should probably check that one out.

The best thing about free software is that you can try it all for free. Then stick to what you like.

If you want free, then go with Octopus. I've messed around with a few and its the best out there so far. Its good enough now to even compete with Keyclone. I own keyclone but I use Octopus instead. Nothing against keyclone but I cannot stand having to validate against a server everytime I launch the app. If keyclone dropped off the map I would have a software paper weight.

Edit: I will say one super awesome thing about keyclone though. He supports his product with vigor. If you have issues he will respond the same day in just about every instance. I speak from experience on this.

Same. Both Keyclone and Octupus are great. I actually paid for two licenses of Keyclone, but I switched to Octopus after the second time I got an error message about the Keyclone validation server being down. If my WoW server and my internet connection are up, I want to be able to multibox. I don't want to depend on a third party's validation server to also be up to be able to play.

When I was first starting and wanted to try out with my two accounts, I bought two keyclone keys. Took me a bit to learn the lingo of setting things up, but then when I decided to go full out 5, I found out about Octopus and gave it a try. Much of the settings are the same as keyclone, and I didn't have to run synergy as well. I was having mouse issue with synergy that were really annoying.

Octopus had it's own terms to learn about setting it up, but a few hours later it was running all 5 toons and I've been a happy camper ever since.

I'm still using MultiBox for 3-boxing on 3 PCs. It's all I've needed for the last year and a half. I've never had a problem with it, so why change?

I don't use software (I'm a hardware boxer) but I put together a comparison chart that to the best of my knowledge is accurate.

Perhaps that can help you make a decision on which software best fits you?

I use HotKeyNet. It is brilliantly supported by a very active developer and a good user base. It can very quickly do all the basic stuff...more user-friendly than autohotkey.....with a little effort, I believe it can support all the advanced stuff you need. It also has some unique extras such as the ability to broadcast mouse clicks. It is currently free. It also has a very light footprint, easy to install/uninstall. So you can't really go wrong in giving it a go.

I use it to 5 box across 4 PCs
