View Full Version : [WoW] [Addon] Jamba - An assistant for multiboxers. Patch 5.0.4 Beta Testing. BETA #3 released.

Jamba needs you again! Time to test it for patch 5.0.4. If you have one or more accounts in the MOP Beta, please feel free to give it a go. It should also work for the live patch coming in a few days.
I expect things to break. Please post in this thread when they do. Also, if you're getting an error with JAMBA, please make sure you can reproduce the issue when other addons are disabled. If the error only happens when JAMBA and <insert addon name> are enabled at the same time you need to provide that information.
Download location for beta for testing:
http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/jamba#t1:other-downloads (http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/jamba#t1:other-downloads)
Get the latest beta version that says it's game version is 5.0.4.
At the moment, all the Jamba modules load without errors, but I have not had a chance to run around and test everything. I only have one Beta account so I can't test much!
The download is only from curse.com at the moment and its tagged as a beta, so it won't show up in the client unless you ask for Beta packages. You can direct download from the Other Downloads tab on the page as well as using the client.

I'm only dual-boxing at the moment due to financial constraints, I'd love to five box again (and upgrade my computer!), so if you use Jamba a lot, please consider donating. The donate link can be found at http://wow.jafula.com/
(http://wow.jafula.com/])
Test plan and my progress can be found here (you'll need to sign up (free) to see the Trello board).

First, I want to thank Jafula for solving my problem in closed post #45 (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/46225-Addon-Jamba-An-assistant-for-multiboxers-36th-Update-0-9-released?p=365204&viewfull=1#post365204). Doing what he suggested there caused my slaves to mirror their master's gossip choices, which is great! However, I'm still lacking one small convenience, which I'm submitting as a Jamba feature request here. I'd like all characters to auto-accept quests *and* mirror gossip options. It saves me a ton of time to have them all auto-accept, but choosing the "Toon Select & Decline Quest with Team" option disables that option. Is there any way to have our cake and eat it too?
Thanks!
Jafula

You raise a good point. I'll see what I can do, so both can happen.
OK .. in-between constant disconnections ..
I cannot get ANY Toon .. Master OR Slave to Select Best Reward
Ticked .. Enable Auto Quest Completion
Clear .. Toon Do Nothing
Ticked .. Toon Complete Quest With Team
Clear .. All Automatically Complete Quest
Clear .. Toon Do Nothing
Ticked .. Toon Auto Selects Best Reward
Clear .. And Claims It As Well
Clear .. Toon Complete Quest With Team
Greyed Out .. All Other Options

Yes, don't use the channels:
/jamba
Choose Advanced -> Core: Communications, check "Assume All Team Members Always Online" (Push settings, reload ui on all)
Does that work?

Thanks very much! I'm sure we'll get the addon fixed, it just might take a while to test / iron out all the subtle bugs.

Okies, I've updated the Test Plan in the first post. There are 196 different things to test! Yay! I'll update it as I go or as you guys tell me things don't work. If it fails, I'll put a Jamba beta build number against it when it is fixed (currently we are on beta build number 1). I'll put an ok next to those that I have been tested ok (feel free to contest those if it doesn't work for you).
Thanks to all those who donated, very much appreciated (the more the merrier)! If you use Jamba, please consider donating, it helps motivate me and lets me multibox (with 5).

Hi, I've reloaded all my addons etc but jamba won't show up in game. My characters also won't follow each other, other buttons do work. I use ISBOXER, any help would be appreciated :)
EDIT: Jamba is also causing HUGE performace problems, ie. crashing and low fps
EDIT 2: Characters follow with Jamba disabled

How do they follow with jamba disabled? Doesn't it use jamba specific commands base line in ISBoxer to follow?

Thanks for all your work mate, this is a boxers best addon. You deserve my donation :P
Jafula: UnitIsGroupLeader is being called incorrectly throughout Jamba/JambaTeam.lua in beta available on Curse. You're using
UnitIsGroupLeader() == 1
Correct invocation is
UnitisGroupLeader("player")
and the function returns true/false
Separately, I can't tell from the OP whether that's you have tested or you need tested. If you could mark that up somehow, I could test the things you haven't got to yet.

Have you got the beta from curse.com? If you have, try what I suggest to ebony in post #11 and see if that stops the low FPS.

Thanks, I'll update the code asap (tomorrow night all going well).
I've not tested any of that yet, so testing would be appreciated. I'll put an OK after the part when it has been tested. Because of the donations I'm able to 5 box again, so keen to test a lot when I get some time (again, tomorrow night all going well).
Unfortunately I have a conference on the weekend so I can't do much wow :-(.
Hopefully it is all set by the weekend.

Just downloaded the only Jamba file I could find on curse.com and when I type in /jamba in WoW all I get is a "type /help" generic message. Jamba is there though, it's spams my chat window with "JambaTeamIsOnline"

Not sure if it's helpful, but I'm having a few issues. The party leader is not being promoted when switching toons, free for all loot is not being selected. I confirmed that those are selected in the Jamba interface. I also deleted my Jamba addon before adding the beta version.

OK, the following work:
Core: Team
-----------
Party invite - team.
Slash command - team invite.
Technically I have a keystroke bound to this in the key bindings, but if it calls the same code the above to do then this works.
Follow
------
Auto follow after combat.
Delay follow after combat.
Technically, I have the later set & it works but that should mean the former does as well.
Quest
-----
All auto select quests (with shift to override).
Accept quests - accept from team.
Accept quests - do not auto accept quests.
Accept quests - all auto accept any quest.
Master auto share quests when accepted.
Slash command - autoselect <on|off|toggle> <tag>.
I thought the first was broken at one point but it tuned out I just under-estimated how long the Battle for Light's Chapel takes to start
Quest: Completion
-----------------
Enabled works.
No or one reward: All automatically complete quest.
Toon: Merchant
--------------
Check auto repair and auto repair with guild funds work.
Technically I have the later set but that should means the former works too
I may have accidentally tested more stuff, i.e. used things and they worked as expected but I don't remember. I'll test some more tomorrow,

I am getting massive errors from jamba I mean hundreds.
This is a thread to help Jafula troubleshoot what's wrong. If you don't post any actual errors, tell him how to reproduce these errors, and tell him what version you're using... then the post is pointless. He knows there are errors, this is a thread for beta testing the new release of JAMBA and he is relying on people who play World of Warcraft and use his add-on to give him useful feedback so that he may fix these errors.

I used the one that was linked and said it was 1 but yes it dl's as 0.9
Maybe if someone could repost to make sure it is the correct one
Ok if you go to the link or to curse and look up Jamba. You will get version 0.92. If you select other downloads you will see the beta version. I just found it myself.

Not an error, just a note.
The cooking awards are now Epicurean's Award (http://mop.wowhead.com/currency=81), so the Dalaran Cooking Award and Chef's Award in Toon:Currency will need to be updated since they don't exist anymore. There's also going to be the new cooking faction ones once MoP hits, Ironpaw Tokens (http://mop.wowhead.com/currency=402).

only two addons: jamba and isboxer on....same errors
Make sure you do not have debug messages turned on. /jamba -> Advanced -> Core: Communications -> Make sure "Show Online Channel Traffic (For Debugging Purposes)" is NOT checked.
I can only see errors when I have the INFORMANT addon on: Here is the error

The presence of UIPanelButtonTemplate2 means you are running an old version. Make sure you delete the old version out of Interface Addons before you install the new version.
I used the one that was linked and said it was 1 but yes it dl's as 0.9
Maybe if someone could repost to make sure it is the correct one
Ok if you go to the link or to curse and look up Jamba. You will get version 0.92. If you select other downloads you will see the beta version. I just found it myself.

ok so downloaded that everything looked good, Jamba all showed up on my toons. However I was unable to push settings to my other 4 accounts from the master. I have spendt 2 hours on this and am pretty fed up. I will check back next week and hopefully this is up and running again

Ok, beta 2 is out, with the fixes from Iru. I've had a little play and most of the basics seem to be there. More testing from me to come.

Im having problem with "No player name 'XXX' is currently playing spam. Seems like "Assume team always online" option isn't working for me after MoP
Im using beta2. Each time Im using my "/follow focus" macro, this happen. This seems to breake the follow because of heavy trafic from the team list not online.

I figured out a few things on my own and disabled a few non updated addons and got jamba to work to the point to where it is usable, sorry about the confusion I was on late, tired and didn't take the time to research.

Tested the beta 1 and updated to the beta 2. Only issue i have found that still remains is it is not automatically setting loot settings to free for all.
All toons are in the same guild (which was enough before). They are on 2 battlenet accounts, and I have friended both ways. Even with the override setting of friends are not strangers... it still sets to group loot uncommon.
I'm using the beta 2 add-on, and it seems like there is some kind of issue with Jamba talk - whisper forwarding.
Yesterday, with the old beta Jamba I was getting this error:

Weirdly, after I close all the error windows, it seems like, at least on that character, as long as I manually type in the name of the person to respond to (my toon's name) it kind of works. But hitting reply gives an error or just throws it into the main chatframe.
I'm not using any chat addons, and it seems the error message is referencing blizzard's XML anyway.
Any ideas?

Still getting massive lag/cpu spikes with newest version, fine when i just run around but when i cast/buff it freezes for about half a second and in large fights i cant really do anything. Dont get any of this when i dont run jamba so dont know exactly what problem is. Currently im only running Jamba, Follow, and FTL. Using strobing to keep follow on entire time. Tried reverting to DX9 no difference. only other addons used are grid+grid custom layouts and cliques. Will check all settings for the jambas to talk to eachother when i get back home and stuff see if that could b it maybe?

I have the following bug when I use Beta02. I do not have other addons present.
To save trouble, I have all my toons registered in Jamba-team. However, everytime I join a party or a raid, there will be spams that the non-online toons are not found. This occurs even if I set the option in profiles that not all toons are online.
This also occurs when I run the macro /jamba-follow strobeonme all
I have another error which occur to me in 0.9. I have not verified if the error still exist in Beta02.
It is detailed in this post in WOW forum.
I've had a problem I've been living with for some time where the complete text of a quest description does not show. This problem occurs both by opening the Quest Log or looking at a tracked quest by clicking on it. It's hard to re-create the bug, it seems intermittent, but it happens regularly.
Here's an example:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/27/questdetailsbug.jpg/
Recently I tried creating a new character and disabled all addons. As expected no problem with the quest details not showing. Then I enabled only Jamba and no problem at first. Then I do a bit of questing, now and then clicking on a quest being tracked and suddenly the bug appears. If I keep toggling the quest it recurs each time but if I pause a few seconds the bug goes away and the full text appears. Then later it will appear again. Again, I can't seem to deliberately re-create the problem, it seems random. I've tried reloading the UI, walking around to different zones, etc.

I tested this as well. The first time I replied by clicking the name it worked. Subsequent messages then produced the error above. I'll try to play with it over long weekend.
Jafula, I'm also getting the spamming "No player named 'X' is currently playing" on any activity that creates inter-toon communication, e.g. clicking the update button on the quest watcher window. As I have all the alts I'm boosting in a single team that can produce quite a lot of messages :)
It seems that the Assume everyone is online check is being ignored, but also that Jamba-Communications is now sending point-to-point messages rather than multicasting them through a private chat channel. Did Blizzard disable private channels in 5.0?
Finally, this works:
Quest: Completion
-----------------
More than one reward: Toon complete quest with team - choose own reward.
Haven't hit a quest where I'd want toons to all take the same item yet.

Good work so far. Lets just hope you don't have to spend a week to fix it for MoP since i think the changes are all setup here and its just going to be an unlocked area/content opposed to changes to the coding for addons again.

Deleted entire addon folder, installed beta 2, invite toons is not working, and when I try and follow with alt-F, it opens bags for everyone else. Checked their keybinds and I can't see anything wrong...
I'll keep playing with it.
Ok exiting out of WoW alltogether and relaunching seems to do the trick.

Haven't hit a quest where I'd want toons to all take the same item yet.
Tried this tonight and it kind of works. If there's more than one quest that can be completed, ctrl-accept causes all the toons to select the reward that toon has. If there;s only one quest to turn in, they do nothing. No idea why there would be a differences like that.

Jafula,
I've figured out the cause of the "No player named 'x' is currently playing" spam folks are getting who don't have the 'Assume team always online' flag set.
It appears that UnitIsConnected is now only useful for detecting DCs of known party members. It returns false regardless of the unit argument if called when not in a group, and returns true when called in a group unless given a unit id for a group member who is currently in an offline status. That means it also returns true when given an invalid unit id if used while in a group.
I think you going to have to rely solely on membership of the temporary chat channel to identify which team members are online, unless assuming they all are.
For anyone who wants to fix this for themselves before Jafula's next update, make the following change to lines 154-156 of Jamba/JambeCommunications.lua
-- if UnitIsConnected( characterName ) == 1 then
-- isOnline = true
-- end

Im having problem with "No player name 'XXX' is currently playing spam. Seems like "Assume team always online" option isn't working for me after MoP
Im using beta2. Each time Im using my "/follow focus" macro, this happen. This seems to breake the follow because of heavy trafic from the team list not online.
Hmmm, I've tried several combinations of these and not had any problems. I'm currently running with "assume team always online" off. I had run with assume team always online and as long as the toons I was playing were online and only those online in the list, it all worked fine (as pre-patch). Let's see what happens over the next week. If you are still having trouble, please let me know.
Hmmm again. This one works for me. Is it still a problem for you?
I'm using the beta 2 add-on, and it seems like there is some kind of issue with Jamba talk - whisper forwarding.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the bug report, Blizzard change a couple of API things I missed. I think I have them now. I got a friend to whisper me and RealID whisper me and I replied back ok without LUA errors. This fix will be in beta3.
Weird. I'm not getting CPU problems or lag spikes (5 boxing). Are you still having this issue?
Using Jamba 1.0 Beta V2
Tested and working:
<SNIP>
I'll update as I test more
Cheers for the bug and testing reports. I appreciate it!
Features not working
Sell
----
- Hold alt while selling sells on all toons.
Hmmm for the third time. This one worked for me. Is it working for you now?
I have the following bug when I use Beta02. I do not have other addons present.
To save trouble, I have all my toons registered in Jamba-team. However, everytime I join a party or a raid, there will be spams that the non-online toons are not found. This occurs even if I set the option in profiles that not all toons are online.
This also occurs when I run the macro /jamba-follow strobeonme all
<SNIP>
Try resetting your channel settings in Core: Advanced. Make your own channel and see if that fixes it?
Same as above, I've not got the problem, haven't had a look at your fix yet. Cheers for the quest completion info.
Good work so far. Lets just hope you don't have to spend a week to fix it for MoP since i think the changes are all setup here and its just going to be an unlocked area/content opposed to changes to the coding for addons again.
Yeh, it was like this in Cata, early pre expansion patch had all the api changes, so once these are sorted we should be good to go for MOP proper.
So I'm assuming you're good now.
i, I am using beta version how do I get rid of the error below ? I the Lua Error is clogging my screen and I cannot get rid of it, and only occurs on one toon, my main.
You are missing a Jamba module on the toon that gets the error. Make sure all your accounts/characters have the same addons checked in the addon options screen.
Tried this tonight and it kind of works. If there's more than one quest that can be completed, ctrl-accept causes all the toons to select the reward that toon has. If there;s only one quest to turn in, they do nothing. No idea why there would be a differences like that.
Ta, will add that to the list of things to check out.

Having a look, I'm not sure why the UnitIsConnected needs to be there at all. You've identified it as a problem (which unfortunately I'm not having), but based on what you are saying and what I've read elsewhere (what little I could find), its logically wrong, so I'm going to yank it and see if anyone complains! Cheers for the sleuthing, I doubt I would have figured that out in a hurry, very appeciated.

Yes, green means ok, a red fail means its not working. As I fix stuff, then I turn them green.
If you are using EVERY feature (!), I'd love to hear your feedback and if something's broken, please let me know.

Hey Jafula, I know you've got tons to do already, but I have a feature request that might be pretty useful.
Since Crusader Aura is passive and self-only now half my team has 20% speed increase and the rest has 10% {Guild perk}, which isn't a big deal. I just kind of stop and start every so often to let the slowbies catch up when mounted. Right now I'm using RangeDisplay (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7297-RangeDisplay.html#info) to let me know when my slowbies are about to lose follow.
It might be the kind of thing that would fit nicely under the Jamba Follow alerts.

Hmmm again.
This one works for me. Is it still a problem for you?
Yuppers, still having this issue with beta3. 5 toons all in same guild. 3 toons on bnet account A 2 toons on bnet account B and Battlenet accounts cross friended.
Running all 5 toons on same laptop using IS boxer. No lag spikes for me, and so far everything else is working perfectly for me. Have tested the different quest options, all pick same reward, all must pick own reward etc. - All working
Adjust money on guild bank visits - working.
Quest tracking (show always / hide in combat) - working
Item Bar (show always / hide in combat) - both working
I have not seen any errors at all. But then again all other addons get disabled if they haven't been updated, and if they cause any errors at all they get disabled. I think currently when multi-boxing the only addons that are active are IS Boxer, Jamba, Go-Go Mount, Bagnon, Bartender 4, Gatherer, and Pally Power only with Teams that have a paladin in them.

Seems something is broken within the Core: Team :: Automatically set the Loot Method to...:
Free for All
It stays at the following after I do a mass invite using the Invite combo with Isboxer:
Looting changed to Group Loot
Loot threshold set to Uncommon.

Keep getting this on all windows when I first start up. Also is there a fix for auto set loot to free for all? OK, just read some back posts and found the one where you said auto free for all is fixed but I am still having the issue to where it does not set auto loot to free for all. When I click on my master toons portrait the option is checked but it is not using free for all I have to actually click on it in the portrait menu then it is set to and working for free for all. Great Job by the way, have been using your addon from the start and it is a MB dream!

In the past if the loot method wasn't set correctly for me I would switch characters and set that character to jamba-master then the loot method would start changing correctly. I am using master looter right now (for everything) and it sets correctly when I change the jamba-master. I also use a seperate key for switching jamba-master/follow-strobe.

Everything seems to be functioning well except the reply to whispers when forwarded from a slave toon. I receive the message but am unable to reply unless I click on the original senders name (ie I can't just reply to my slave and have it be sent to the original sender)

Loot options still not working for me either. Only sets to Group Loot and Uncommon. I'm also using isboxer.
Just wanted to say, I donated to Jafula again just now because Jamba is awesome for multiboxers and I am glad to see it continue.
Anyone else who has gotten a lot of mileage out of Jamba, consider buying him a coffee from time to time with a donation too.
Thanks again for the work you do for the WoW multiboxing community, Jafula! :)

I'm 10 box RAF leveling via questing, with two teams of four and a team of two. Jamba is only displaying what level they are on a few random toons. Otherwise it's just showing 0. It doesn't appear related to which team the toons are on, and it's inconsistent whose gets displayed. Any ideas how to get the levels to show on everyone? The rest of the addon seems fine.
Edit: Donate link is broken. Go to http://wow.jafula.com/index.php for the donate button. Donated. Thanks Jafula!

I'm able to abandon all quest and that is sent to all toons. But I'm still not able to get them to accept new quests or complete them with the master.
Anything I can do to debug this?

For those having problems with quest accept/completion.
I have had ZERO problems with it, make sure you are actually updated.
No problems sharing and accepting that way (amphitheater of anguish). Nor turning them in with same or no rewards.

I had issues in AoA where if I used IWT to interact with the quest giver and auto-accept the quests for all my slaves at once, it would only register one toon completing it with each kill. I tried accepting with one toon and letting Jamba do its thing with autoshare/accept and it worked perfectly. I have no idea if this was a problem on Blizzard's end or mine/Jamba's, but it was easily worked around.

I had a problem I thought was jamba, the most obvious issue was that leader wouldn't change when I changed windows.
I think it was somehow related to dungeon group/party groups. I had to abandon my group and re invite. One time I found one char ended up in a raid, I left the raid and ended up back in my normal party group. Weird.

Yeah, dungeon groups are a thing unto themselves now, totally separate from a normal party. I booted one of my guys while I was in a dungeon today because somehow my party was in the wrong order and I couldn't reinvite her. I kept getting a message about her rejecting my invitation. I had to leave the dungeon, make everyone individually leave the dungeon group, and then all leave the party. THEN I could finally reinvite. Annoying.

This has been the behavior since... forever. Escort quests or any other quest that needs to be "started" by a single person and can be accepted by the rest of your party after the event has begun. You can only start the quest/event with one person and then have the rest of the party accept the quest from the pop-up dialog box that appears.

I broadcast the keystrokes for /script LeaveParty() to disband my groups. Since the patch I've needed to do it twice after using dungeon finder. First time seems to leave the dungeon group and second time leaves the actual group. The reason I'm bringing it up is because I don't believe it's a Jamba issue, but rather a change to how WoW views groups.

Some things that don't work and a bunch you can check off the list.
Awesome, thanks! I was running out of characters in post #3, so I've moved all the tests to a Trello board; here, you may need to sign in to see it;
https://trello.com/board/jamba/5042d7856fc039ef1b37b44b
Loot options are not currently working for me (using latest beta that Jafula just posted).
Settings in jamba team are correct, but when the group is formed loot is still set on Group Loot and Uncommon, as opposed to Free For All and Epic.
I've noticed this as well. Changing master seems to fix it, I'll see if I can find out why its not working immediately.
That's a neat idea, I played a bit with the range stuff last patch where the follow warnings went all screwy. I've added it to the Trello board as a new feature.
Cheers for the feedback! I'll have a closer look at the loot thing.
Seems something is broken within the Core: Team :: Automatically set the Loot Method to...:
Free for All
It stays at the following after I do a mass invite using the Invite combo with Isboxer:
Looting changed to Group Loot
Loot threshold set to Uncommon.

Thanks for the feedback, the code for the item-use bar is misbehaving at the moment; I'll need to give it a closer look. In only happens in combat lockdown and its a taint issue. This one might take a while to track down.

The item bar is still using the old pet api calls which no longer exist, I'll change that soon.
Nice, thanks, you confirmed what I've found. I'll see if I can make it work on team formation again like it used to.
only issue i have had so far is with the item bar, can't add pets, mounts and some spells.

Jamba is trying to draw the team list display during combat lockdown. So if you switch master in combat and have team display on master only, then this will happen. A solution for you is to have the team display visible on all toons. I'll see what I can do to fix it...
Hi
This is ok for me.
- Auto deny duels.
Thank you for all the hardwork.
Cheers!
Everything seems to be functioning well except the reply to whispers when forwarded from a slave toon. I receive the message but am unable to reply unless I click on the original senders name (ie I can't just reply to my slave and have it be sent to the original sender)
Thanks for the heads up. I thought I fixed that, will have a closer look.
Loot options still not working for me either. Only sets to Group Loot and Uncommon. I'm also using isboxer.
Changing master should fix it for you. I'll be working on a fix soon.
Cheers very much for the donation! Awesome. Make sure all your toons are on the team list on every toon. Jamba only sends information across the wire if it needs to, so the level 0 means the information is not being sent. If you are ten boxing, you might want to try putting all the toons in a raid, that way they will all get the addon messages in one hit. Try swapping masters, then disbanding the group and the reforming the group. Anyway, I've added this as a bug on the Jamba Trello board (see post #1 for board link), but I should be able to replicate it, by splitting my 5 box team into a team of 3 and a team of 2. Let me try it...

Running beta3, but can't get any of the quest accept/completion to work. Any ideas?
Nope, works for me.
I'm able to abandon all quest and that is sent to all toons. But I'm still not able to get them to accept new quests or complete them with the master.
Anything I can do to debug this?
/veggy
Make sure all your toons are on the team list on every toon. Make sure you are opening the quest giver dialog on each toon before you start the process. Can you be more specific, maybe list the steps you do and where you expect it to work and it doesn't?
For those having problems with quest accept/completion.
I have had ZERO problems with it, make sure you are actually updated.
No problems sharing and accepting that way (amphitheater of anguish). Nor turning them in with same or no rewards.
^^ :-)

I had a problem I thought was jamba, the most obvious issue was that leader wouldn't change when I changed windows.
I think it was somehow related to dungeon group/party groups. I had to abandon my group and re invite. One time I found one char ended up in a raid, I left the raid and ended up back in my normal party group. Weird.
Yeah, dungeon groups are a thing unto themselves now, totally separate from a normal party. Hmmm weird dungeon behaviour, I'll try and keep and eye out next time I go into one. Blizzard change the way parties work, now everything seems to be a raid rather than a party. Maybe I'm not using the new api correctly...

Yay! You are awesome, thanks so much for your donation, it is much appreciated. Plus ISBoxer and Innerspace are awesome!

I've downloaded Jamba first from Jamba's site, then through Curse. Each time the AddOns tab in Interface has not displayed any part of Jamba. Each time, the AddOn List upon login has called all the Jamba addons out of date. Is there another place I can download Jamba from? When I enable and load the out of date Jamba addons, once in-game I find there is a sort of lag, so much that the casting animations only partly display. That is, when I cast Lightning Shield, everything pauses for about a second, then it displays the last part of the casting animation. I cannot find any way to interact with Jamba, though I feel I must be missing something. The only sign of it is a chat channel I'm in called 'JambaTeamIsOnline', which I cannot leave. It displays several character names including my own. I apologize of this has already been covered, I don't want to waste anybody's time. I would appreciate any thoughts on this matter very much.
Respectfully,

If my team has people that are offline, Jamba makes it seem like there are people that are not friends or are strangers, so it puts the loot as group loot. If you take the people that are offline out of the group, it work like expected.

If you are using the latest Curse client to maintain your addons, do this: start curse client, go to the entry for Jamba in My Addons tab (Assuming you already have the addon installed), and rightclick on the entry, and the menu will come up. Leftclick Preferred Release Type menu entry. You will see options of Release, Beta and Alpha. Leftclick Beta. Then refresh and update all. Done - it will track the beta that is available on curse via curse client.

Currently 10 box RAF leveling via questing (for fun, not speed), so converting to Raid won't work. Currently have two teams of 4 and a team of 2, so the levels only show for the teammates, each team seeing their own mates. It's a rare enough thing to not be a big deal, so just FYI. Making level updating Jamba team-wide and not WoW team-wide should do it.

Loot mode acts strangely for me.
I was about to write that it doesn't work at all, but then I tried forming the group using a different toon and loot mode was changed to free for all. It just doesn't work when using my usual leader toon.

Encountered a bug with GetBestRewardIndexForCharacter. I've seen this (I'm pretty sure it is the same error) happen when one of the quest items is a wand. This error came from the Gava'xi quest in Nagrand, which doesn't award a wand, but maybe the Oshu'gun Relic used to be an actual relic (it is a trinket now)

It should have had a default channel name and password, and that should usually be changed. Just plug in a new name and password for everyone, then I think you need to log out and back in again.

This usually has to do with a conflict with other addons. Some include auto accept for invites that causes problems with the Jamba accept

Another strange issue I've noticed is that it's not setting FFA when you invite all your team members, even though it's set to do so in the option.

It's doing the same thing to me. If you hit invite a second time you'll get the message that everyone is already in a group but it changes the loot setting to FFA.

It probably has to do with dungeons being a second group over the top of the group you form in a city. Entering crz areas also resets the groups. An easy fix I found is just add /ffa to my follow macro. That way every time I hit follow it sets the loot to ffa and if it's already set it silently ignores the change. Of course you may need to use a different macro to throw /ffa on if you run with others.

Hoping to get a release out within a week. Got a geocaching MEGA event this weekend that is interfering with my wow time!

Everything seems to be functioning well except the reply to whispers when forwarded from a slave toon. I receive the message but am unable to reply unless I click on the original senders name (ie I can't just reply to my slave and have it be sent to the original sender)
So, this seems to be working for me, I've tried with Real ID and normal whispers. In the /jamba-talk settings, make sure you have selected "Forward via fake links for clickable links and players" and "Add forwarder to reply queue on master".

If my team has people that are offline, Jamba makes it seem like there are people that are not friends or are strangers, so it puts the loot as group loot. If you take the people that are offline out of the group, it work like expected.
I can't reproduce this. Are your offline team members still listed in the Jamba Team list? If they are not they will appear to be strangers.

So a list of fixes I have made but not yet released:
Mounts will now work in the item bar.
New slash command for Toon: Currency > /jamba-toon currencyhide
Toon: Currency now shows correct labels for Ironpaw Tokens and Epicurean's Award
Autoselect quest will now work if one or more quests in the NPCs list are still incomplete.
Autocomplete quest will now work if the NPC has non-quest related functions.
Fixed a bug where auto select / complete quests were missing an additional parameter to a wow api function (that was added in MOP).
Fixed taint issue where team list would try and draw in combat (upon master switch if team list not already showing).
Fixed taint issue where item bar would try and draw in combat (upon master switch item bar not already showing).
You can follow progress along here:

:-)
Jafula,
is there a fix for currently not showing up on master as a default when checked and group loot not set to FFA?

Got a request regarding jamba procc, I'm currently playing enhancement shamans and jamba procc always shows me maelstorm ready when one charge proccs, but I think its way more usefull if it only shows up when you got 5 charges, could you change it that way?

Currently running the beta release Jamba addon, I am still rather new and may just be doing something wrong. I have noticed however that no matter which team I bring online, if I do not push the jamba settings for the team section at each login, the follow command does not work on any of the characters.. As soon as I push the settings though everything works fine. I have the = hotkey slot set on each slave with the command: /jamba-follow master. Its as if they don't recognize the main toon as master until I push the settings even though when I open up jamba on the slave screens it shows my main toon is master. Outside of that the only other consistent thing I have noticed is the currency window opens by default on all toons even though I have it set on all toons to open on start up for master only.

Quick update - a release 1.0 has gone out on curse.com with the latest bug fixes (to be documented later). Please note that the item bar and battlepets are not getting along (but there shouldn't be any lua errors).

thx for the update, using it now, so far so good. I also figured out the issue with the master resetting .. turns out isboxer was overriding the settings.

I've been using the 1.0 release for a little over 20 hrs now between three different teams. Excellent job Jafula. The only errors I've had occur were related to other addons and I was able to quickly resolve them.
The only issue I continue to have I also had with the beta version. Quest tracker is showing the wrong number of characters that are on a quest. If all five characters have a quest it will show 2/5 until I open the quest window and press "track all". I don't think it's a conflict with another addon, latency issue maybe? quest are being accepted to quickly when I IWT? I tried to make a macro so I wouldn't need to open the quest window after each quest but nothing I tried worked (/jamba-quest-watcher-track all, etc). Other than this small issue it's worked flawlessly for me.

I'm on 1.0 also and having an issue with the quest watcher. Sometimes, when I complete a quest with all toons, it gets left in the tracker for some of the other toons. I can resolve this by switching to each toon and clicking "update" at the top, so it's not a big deal. Just a bit annoying.

I don't know if the quest tracker thing is specifically Jamba. I use TomQuest2 for quest tracking and I see the same behavior at random intervals. Sometimes it won't report everyone having turned in a quest, sometimes it'll randomly reset and stop updating {showing 1 toon at 0/20 when they have some or all already}, sometimes it won't pick up a toon at all.
Leaving party and reinviting fixes it in my case {reloadui works sometimes, but usually not}. A toon crashing or rapid-fire accept/turn-in seem to be the causes. So since it's happening with a different party quest addon too, it does sound like something on Blizz's end.

I have some problem with Jamba with a cross-realm team.
Can you work something to make it use wisp or even party chan instead of the jamba chan when all chars are not on the same server ?

Im having an issue with stobing follow please help. Lately the last few days im runnin my caster team. I always use alt+shift+f (strobing follow) enabled so if i get feared / knockbacked or whatever it will automatically start follow again. After fightin for a while now this stops working and if follow breaks the characters wont automatically begin following. i have to /reload on all characters, turn keymaps off and back on and then hit alt+shift+f again to re enable strobing and then it works again for a while. Any ideas how to fix this or why it is happening?

I've seen this mentioned one or two other times, but haven't seen an answer. My JAMBA feature for "Automatically set loot to:" isn't working. I have it set to free-for-all, but it never changes. Not a big deal in the least, because I'm capable of switching from group loot myself, but I do sometimes forget after having to do a console reloadui or something. Just wondering if this has been addressed and I'm not seeing it. Jamba is an amazing piece of software.

So how do I get the item use bar to update? When it fills up with quest items it stops updating with the newest item. Any idea if that is how it is supposed to work?

I don't know if this is intended or not. For as long as I remember using this feature, I've just dragged a quest item out of the bar to clear it when I'm done with it and freed up that space for another one. I've never needed more than 2 quest items in the bar at the same time, that I recall. I don't recall an instance where I had all 5 slots full (I only use 5), and had Jamba auto-replace one of the items for me when I got a new quest item.

On occasion (meaning perhaps half the time I log in) I get an error about a chat channel that Jamba creates called "JambaTeamIsOnline" and it asks me for a password. When I looked at the communications .lua file, I see that the password for that chat channel is "JambaTeamPassword" but when I try to enter that it doesn't work.
What this means is that Jamba no longer updates the Team Bar with XP/Health statistics although other aspects of Jamba appear to be working.
Anyone else experience that? Suggestions?

Just change it. Under
Jamba > Advanced> Core:Communications change the channel name and channel password on every toon to something else. Log out for a few seconds and log back in.

Is there any way to resize the option window ? For some reason I often get stuck with this : http://i.imgur.com/C0KBt.jpg and I can only fix it by deleting the WTF folder
I only had Jamba active and I often switch between Window(FullScreen) and Window mode ( I know the switch also affects recount size and some other addons size)

Grab the latest Jamba - 5.1.1 and try the new slash command:
/jamba resetsettingsframe
Let me know if that fixes it for you!
