Cataclysm Flying requirements?

Hi all,
so curious about the expansion, to fly in the old worlds does the toon have to be level 85? Or what is the requirement for flying in the old world?

I transferred one of my lvl 80's with cold weather flying to the beta and was able to fly around stormwind and elwynn forest without doing anything...

Not sure if that is just for the beta but it seems like there are no requirements at this time. I'm sure other will chime in if I'm wrong.

Pretty sure I've read a blue post a while ago that said there would be no 'money sink' like the 5k epic flying in cata. It didn't mention anything about level requirements or zones though. But at least no expensive expenses should be expected.

They did say you will be able to purchase 310% flying speed at level 85, but haven't said what it will cost yet.

Those who already have it will be 'gifted' it.

This is why you go back to Outlands, grind rep for Honor Hold or the other for Horde to exalted, then buy there. Only pay 3k for it. Might be 4k, I'll have to go back and check again. But every rep level you gain with these, lowers the cost of this alone. It stays at 5k in Dalaran, but cheaper if you go back to Outland.

Yeah it's 4,000 gold for Artisan Flying in Honor Hold/Thrallmar if you're Exalted.

I got epic flying at the starting area of LK and it was 4k. I made that extra 1k for nothing. But any flying trainer will be the same price except Dalaran

i fully expect lots of flying mobs to prevent 'lower' levels to feel too comfortable in high level zones
