Just started a shaman team at lvl 1 (before, I went the route of moving lvl 80s from 1 account to 3 others).

I use 1 computer, 1 wow.

Was wondering how to keep the same X-Perl frame on the other 3 characters?

C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\[NAME1]\Garona\Acidmoarprz\SavedVariables\XPerl_RaidFrame s.lua

to

C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\[NAME2]\Garona\Acidcake\SavedVariables\

with no such luck.

In the main account (Acidmoarprz), I saved it as a "Frame Layout", but I am unable to find out where to copy to load in separate wow instances.

Thanks,
Acid

im not 100% sure but i believe youre looking for is this file

C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\[name]\SavedVariables\xperl.lua.bak

hope that works

edit: you may also need to copy the xperl.lua file in that same directory as well.

I do not use X-perl but it might be that the frame layout is profile dependent. Check the slave for a profile and see if one of them will load.

do people copy their UI to their slaves? Or do you all just setup each one individually?

I copy mine. I set one slave up and than copy the WTF folder over. I might have to get into some of the mods and set the profiles.

Do you use 1 wow folder or multiple wow folders?

I also run different characters on each wow account with different ui's. I am afraid by copying it, it will not retain some if not all the settings of others.

I use to use multiple wow folders all symlinked. Since my transition to ISBoxer I let it manage the virtual configs.

you should make your own profile file to all your addons. After copying them to place just run game and reload profiles and reload ui.

but if you use only one comp, you can easily copy them as well (i dont see the reason to make different wow folder copys).

with on wow folder you will have in WTF folder a folders named to your accounts (1acc, 2ac, 3acc), just go to your 1acc folder and copy SavedVariables folder and paste it to oder acc folders. And now you have to reload your profile. Ofc you can save profiles as default and then it might run as you log in to the game but i never tried it.

If the addon allows you to save a profile default that is the best route it works well. I usually save all my profiles as Tank, DPS, Heal etc.....

ToonA on Acount A- You setup xperl like you want

Copy WTF\Account\AccountA\SavedVariables

To

WTF\Account\AccountB\SavedVariables

and

WTF\Account\AccountC\SavedVariables

Then login game and open Xperls interface, look at the bottom left where it shows profiles, you should see ToonA's name along with your server, click the name, click load. This is how I share my Xperl configurations.

this maybe a dumb question.

but each account has multiple toons, some solo, some part of my quad boxing teams, different teams.

If I copy the savedvariables, would I be overwriting some of the specific addon/ configs of other toons?

yes

you need to copy only xperl savedvariables and reload its profile to all your setups or just edit it manual for only one toon.
