Pass on loot... ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=119045#post119045')

Alright... I have been searching for an answer to this for about an hour now, so please don't castrate me if I have missed it. ;)

Is there a Macro command to set "pass on random loot" to yes??

Please link me the thread (or tell me what forum it is listed in )if this has already been answered.

From some searching doesn't look like you can macro it, would have to be done via Addon:

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/4127/

This mod will allow you to automatically roll greed, need, pass, or if the setting is disabled, let you manually roll on loot based on customized loot rules.
By adding customized rules, you can do things like roll greed on all Bind on Equip items, except in Karazhan. You could also let it ignore all Bind on Pickup items, to let you manually roll on them.
Loot rules can filter loot based on the following:
- Zone
- Quality
- Bind on status
- Uniqueness
- Equip slot
- Item type and subtype
- Item Name (partial or exact)
- Group/Raid
- Zone Type
- Loot Won Counter/Comparison

Probably something like /script PassOnLoot();

But it doesn't say on wowwiki's API page, I'm sure with some testing you could find it though.

I got excited about the pass on loot facility a little while ago.

It appears that you used to be able to set it to common items, so that you could then assign rubbish to various toons.
However that facility was removed. You can only set it to uncommon and above (pretty much the same as the interface now).

For boosting I do the following:

Set main to master looter.

Set level to Rare.

Main pass on loot: yes.

What this does is pretty simple. Only Rare items will sparkle. I skip all greens, trash, ect. If you're looking to level fast and not worried about low level trash items, this is the way to go. You'll still get rare and epic items off bosses and trash mobs. Of course, if there's a quest item that is needed off of a boss, I still manually loot those on the alts.

Thanks to those who gave a serious reply to my question. I find it pretty lame that blizzard would create the "auto pass on random" loot feature and not create a macro command for it... /facepalm

I'll try the mod out tonight. From reading it, I am still not sure if it is going to set my clones to auto pass or not.

Iztehzha, I know you are probably just trying to be funny, but take that kind of stuff back to wow general. I don't post questions here to get replies like that.

Is there a Macro command to set "pass on random loot" to yes?? Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Alright, found it... It has been listed here on d-b.com, but I was not searching with the right parameter. (welcome to my world)

Here is the command.

/run SetOptOutOfLoot(1)
While searching for my answer, I stumbled upon this guy's blog. He has some great macros listed here.

I suppose he/she is a member here, so props on your blog. ;D

How are BoP recipes/patterns handled when "pass on loot" option is set to yes? Normally, these are lootable by only those that can use it.
